So I have done all of that and even installed a newer version of the youtube app. When you look at the youtube settings is states the new 5.4.5 version but in the list view and update page it continues to state an update is do. Anyone else run into this? I am running the current 17.6 version of Kodi if that helps.
I have tried to find the answer to this, but haven't been able to find it in the thread.
Can I watch a Youtube paid movie with the addon? There is amovie I really want to see, and happy to pay for it. However I have only found it on Amazon and on Youtube paid.
If I pay for it on my laptop (via credit card), can I watch it in the addon?

sp1d3y open the context menu on the YouTube add-on and choose Information, and then Update. You should see all versions and where they are being made available from. 5.4.5 should be the highest available from the repo at the moment.
@
nickr I just purchased a movie short to confirm and it's not working currently. Will work towards adding support for it now that I have content to test.
I followed the instructions on post #2 and made my own keys, which I pasted straight in /userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.youtube/settings.xml as described in the bottom of the post. However, when I tried a search, I got an "invalid key" error on both youtube 5.4.6-alpha13 (kodi 14.2) and 5.5.0-alpha13 (kodi 17.6) and the search was not executed.
So, In case I made any mistakes, I would like to ask how do all these strings look like in your setups. Mine look like so
- id = (12 characters, numbers only) - (32 characters of lowercase letters and numbers) .apps .googleusercontent .com (without the spaces)
- api key = (52 characters of lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers)
- secret key = (12 characters of lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers) - (11 characters of lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers)
Sorry if this has been asked but does anyone know if the audio delay during seeking while using DASH has been fixed? I'm still having this issue running ubuntu 17.10 with kodi 17.6 from the ppa as well as kodi-inputstream-adaptive Version: 2.0.19-1~artful from the ppa. Thanks for the great plugin!
@
touser It's fixed in the version available with Kodi 18.
(2017-12-11, 17:11)anxdpanic Wrote: [ -> ]@musicadi The video you're playing is actually 360p (mp4;h.264 / aac@96) which shouldn't be an issue for Kodi, and are working(all black screen with seekbar and audio playing) on my Windows and OSMC installs. If you set the add-on to "Always ask for video quality" you can try the other audo/video codec and bitrate options.
Similar to @DjDiabolik's issue, once we start playback there isn't much we can do unless we're passing something unsupported to Kodi which doesn't appear to be the case.
@
anxdpanic - yes, the "video" plays well on other platforms.
I had video quality set to 1080p/720p with "Always ask for video quality" disabled.
I enabled "Always ask for video quality" and selected 360p (mp4;h.264 / aac@96), but having the same issue.
Here is the debug log while it was happening:
http://sprunge.us/OQVj
I think this might be audio related.
I already tried disabling CEC and audio passthrough, but the issues remains.
I will post this in the LibreELEC forum also, maybe it's OS related.
EDIT: tested in Kodi 17.6 under Windows 10 and macOS 10.12 and he video plays well, so it's either OS or device related.
I need you help..... sometime when i start a reproduction immediatelly after on right upper corner of tv appear a notification of errors say to watch log.
On Log appears this:

Hello @
jdf76
I noticed your new thread for YouTube Plugin. Do you want this thread closed?

Not just yet, waiting for the other guys to post his FAQ in the next few links.
Ok. Let me know when you are ready.
Maybe reserve a couple of posts in your new thread in case you need them later.
@
DjDiabolik I updated the alpha zip, the issue should be resolved. It was part of the addition to get watch later working again. Now to get Watch Later working fully, go to Settings - Folders - Retrieve Watch later playlist id and the add-on will try to find the id required.
