Hi,
I have noticed there is no support for stream subtitles of the video... i would like that to be a feature if possible.
Because i watch some foreign youtube channels and some have the option to enable english subtitles, that would be cool, for example i see some chinese cooking videos and some have english subtitles that you can activate on youtube, and on kodi that is not yet supported.
I think this is a good suggestion
We'll add it to the list.
OK so i guess that 1080+ video is working (or at least kodi say that is playing) i have used latest kodi 17 from 07.07 and kodi plugin from
https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide.../mpeg-dash
Edit:
More work need to be done so that you can select max resolution i'm running this on rpi and addon try to play max resolution like 4k but pi cant play this

As far as I know That isn't a plugin from our side. I'd have to confirm, but as far as I know anxdpanic is a contributor. We only support the stable versions. You can however report issues you might find with the developer side on kolifanes repo.

Thanks for considering the feature request and for the reply. (y)
I have Nvidia 4k and kodi 17, i can test youtube beta version ? can you share the beta addon?
Is it possible to add the link player to youtube functionality? This lets you go to youtube videos on your computer and select "play on tv" under the video. This requires generating a link-to key on kodi and then going to youtube.com/activate and adding the key as a player. This is one of the functions provided by the official youtube app on the firestick but the kodi app is much nicer and doesn't exit after it's been paused for a while like the official one does.
I had updated version 2.2.4 right now via DaHenchmen Repo but I don't see any news about it here. Is it real or fake one?

Theres an extention for Chrome, Play To Kodi, that has something very close tho this functionality.

I can confirm that the login issue is fixed with the latest Kodi Libreelec Milehouse build.

That's nothing to do with this thread or the add-on it discusses. The repo link for this one is in the first post of the thread, and the stable version is in the official repo too.
Any other fork or version is nothing to do with this site and isn't supported here.

Thank you for the pointer. I have installed the chrome extension. I also checked and found a couple of similar extensions for firefox and will try those as well.
