I haven't used kodi on my Nexus 10 since it was still xbmc. I was certain however that I could access my USB stick for videos.
I use to however have this rooted because unrooted I couldn't play video or even open a PDF without it having to copy to a temp file first. Not sure when android changed it but I can now play direct from USB with my OTG dongle, without rooting so reset the tablet and now back to stock.
When I go into ES File Explorer I can see my Kingston USB stick, if I click a video to play I can choose Kodi and Kodi will launch and play the file, but in Kodi I can find the drive at all.
Any ideas?
