I have a denon avr-3300x and LG Oled B6 and not get 4k@50 hz if not add manually the modeline
On my Samsung I enabled uhd for hdmi1, rebooted and had 4k@60 and 50,24,23,30,59.94. A Denon AVR is in between. I used Standard HDMI 2.0 capable cables, cheap ones from Amazon Basic.
Sidenote:without setting the tv up correctly it did not even accept 4k 50, 60 manual set xrandr modes.
I can provide my edid to overwrite yours if needed.
I have LG oled B6 with UHD enabled in HDMI2 and the denon 3300x between, my cable is from amazon too
https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B004BEM...UTF8&psc=1 get 4k@60hz withouts problems.
If you send me your edid i can try load in boot with your manual and send my xrandr modes
PD: I really happy you adquired one J4205! The case mtech is beatifull, i have one origenae s10v and only replace the motherboard and hdmi cables, If I did not have the originae would buy the mtech

If you follow the howto correctly (and use Ubuntu), you should end up with that in /etc/default/grub:
Code:

And the kernel should tell something like that:

If you use LibreELEC, you can find the howto in the linked thread.
Edit: I run the TV in 1920x1080@50 as I mainly watch LiveTV 1080i50 and let that upscale by the TV. For (rare) 4k@

The issues with 2160p50 and 2160p59.94 couldn't be related to 4:2:0 vs 4:2:2 / 4:4:4 compatibility could they? I know some displays only accept 4:2:0 at this resolution and frame rate, as they are still using the lower bandwith HDMI 1.4 physical hardware which can just about handle 4:2:0 at 2160p50 and 59.94, rather than the higher bandwith (optional) modes which add support for 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 at these frame rates.
AIUI this is one major reason that a 4:2:0 mode was added to the HDMI 2.0 spec, and meeting it is enough to be considered HDMI 2.0. (And given that pretty much all consumer video is, and will remain, 4:2:0, the only major issues is for UIs and Photo-type display applications, until you need 12 bit for HDR. Not sure if 10 bit is supported or not)
I have to add something, the 50p mode is missing for me ... while the 60 is there. I created an xorg.conf that adds it on top. Until I like to alter my edid.

So you cant get 50p neither with your edid?

It seems besides the 60p - the EDID contains nothing ... I looked in the 1080p line when I thought all is there.

It works at 4k in the app, it doesn't work in the edge browser. Also, there was some choppyness during playback even though the CPU was only at 25% or so. Not sure what caused it, i only tested for a few seconds.

Thanks, not sure how I missed that. Searched pretty good I thought. Quite a bit pricier though.
Hi,
I do have the same issue with 2160p50 with a Panasonic cxw and an Asrock J4205, only 60hz are available but I need 50hz for UHD TV.
