It look like that thread has died down so I am guessing no development in progressSad
Yeah, we all wait for those that want to use it and step up and implement it ... hey, we have a MVC maintainer job to give out, but nobody wants to do the job :-(
It's not that I hate Windows but for KODI-only the PI is just so much easier to maintain and setup.
And like many others I am an 3D fan,not for the TV's in the living-room but on a 90inch screen in a darkened room using a good 3D projector.
Every time there is subject about 3D MVC on Linux, it always goes around circles.

3d has been replaced with 4k as the latest attempt to move TV's. How many 4k tv's on the market even do 3d anymore? It's a dying format.
Don't tell the MVC guys :-)
2015 - lots of 3D tvs
2016 - some
2017 - none

Ya it's a bummer and hopefully 3d theatrical releases continue for the next few years.
I disagree! Still most of the new movies are available on 3D Blu ray as well!
Anyway...It is fun sometimes

LolBig Grin

I know one day Linux will support 3D MVC if @fritsch decide to work on itTongue
Most likely will be the same day M$ Windows does not need a Virus-Scanner anymore ... but one never knows.

Ah okay - out of the box feature. Always thought that only works with Apple guys ...
