Full Version: Problems with TVH + Kodi on Intel NUC + S960 tuner

Hi guys,

at them moment I'm using latest nightly TVH on an Ubuntu 14 Server with Intel Xeon E3-1265LV2 processor (HP Gen8 Microserver) and DVBSky S960 tuner with latest compiled drivers. As client I've installed latest stable kodi on Intel NUC5CPYH with Ubuntu 15.10.

I thought that I have powerfull enough hardware on both sides (client/server) to get live-tv working without stuttering, but I was wrong. I tried different TVH versions and compiled latest drivers for the tuner on my ubuntu server but it doesn't helped (maybe a little bit...).

So I'm asking you if you use a similiar config and could give me some tips. I assume it's the (crappy) drivers for my tuner which prevents my setup to run smoothly. If so can you suggest me a working dvb-s2 tuner (preferable USB) which works without problems.

Thanks in advance!

PS: I'm trying to get this working for ~1,5 years now. Starting with an Tronsmart android box and a celeron processor in server. Now I'm pretty sure it's not the hardware...

EDIT: I think only CCEs are responsible for that stuttering like in following lines:

When I'm back home again I could test more and post more detailed log outputs.
