Can you do custom logos? I have a lot of Lounge and Deep House compilations that I would like to have logos for.

If your interested how i'm doing them.

- Crop the logo you are trying to copy
- Upload single word image to https://www.fontsquirrel.com/
- Find a similar font from the results
- Use that font in GIMP to create the text
- Convert to a path
- Fill gradient with the 2 colours from the original image

EDIT: Would have been better with this paid for font... https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/pesic/bigbang

I will try that and see if I can get the hang of it. In the meantime I'll find a few more challenges for you. Laugh

zag, do you know of any step by step detailed tutorials for idiots on how to do this? After a bottle of scotch and a concussion from beating my head on the wall I am about ready to give up on trying to learn this. GIMP is kicking my butt. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

zag, can you look at this and tell me what I did wrong? I have it saved as logo.png in the artist folder but Kodi doesn't see it.

Shows as a JPG for me...

If your using GIMP then all you need to do is change the extension to ".png" when you export the image.

Make sure you have a transparent layer already though.

EDIT: good try though, looks nice!
