That's not at all accurate, the max for the BD standard is 48Mbps (40Mbps video & 8Mbps audio) and most full 1080p files will be anywhere between anywhere between 30 - 40Mbps.
@Koying

Are you going to support 3D Frame-Packing (3DISO/MKV) on the Mi ?
Well, someone should send me one overseas, first...

Is anyone experiencing this issue?
I'm sure both the Xiaomi Mi Box home page - tech specs section has something info HDR.
Maybe CNET has as well.

Someone did post the answer to this question twice now, wonder whom that might be Wink

Yes maybe you should Email Xiaomi just to be 100% sure, the Mi Box tech specs page would not be lying about HDR now would it ?

why ? i remember Amlogic soc is limited when output 3D Frame-Packing or not more?
Yep, same question here. Would MVC be full-rez render on this (S905X SoC)? On their specs page however, Xiaomi still shows...

I'll support Koying, getting firstly the device Rooted and then fixing up Dynamic refresh rate switching..

If, someone should send me one overseas, first...

@Koying and @wrxtasy, happy to send each of you a Mi Box... but, I can't do it for free (as I'm not Xiaomi Smile). But, at actual cost (item + tax + shipping), yes. Please PM me if acceptable.

Well, I understand that. On my side, I'm not quite ready to spend ~$100 for a device I'd probably have fun with, but that is of no use to me day-to-day Wink
@briand095, okay, if you can send yours to @wrxtasy, I'll send mine free of cost to @Koying.

@Koying, please PM me your shipping address and phone.
@hdmkv, sure, not a problem, @wrxtasy, if you are willing to accept this offer, PM me some details on how to get this to you
Thx for the offer @hdmkv It was tongue in cheek. I will see how the user built Android TV ROM for the Play2 turns out first. I may take up the offer down the track tho.

I suspect that ROM may likely come pretty close to this Mi Box, but with Live Channels and partial PVR working in Android TV OS, plus be far more flexible, for proper Kodi (WeTek Media Player) use.

EDIT:
@briand095, If you really want to donate a device I will PM then thx. I'm a long way away...in the land of Oz !
