Although this is belated, I very much wish to express my great thanks to the Kodi for Android (Fire TV edition) developers! I just made a new donation in gratitude.
Primarily, my gratitude is theirs for solving an extremely annoying problem I was having with the Fire TV version prior to Kodi 16, whereby it took upwards of 10 to 20 minutes to start playing DVD folders. See, for example, Android - FireTV: Suddenly, Loading DVD Folder takes 10-20 mins!
The DVD folders in question were stored on a Windows 7 Pro box, and accessed via SMB.
But since the official release of Kodi 16, that problem is completely gone, and DVD folders start playing very quickly. Hooray!
