Not sure if this is possible...but here goes...
I want to use a simple http server running on my phone to feed a local html file (index.html) to Kodi on my FireTV as a source. The reason for this, so I can locally edit the html file on my phone to add a list of web links to other repositories and not have to add a bunch of sources into Kodi to test-drive add-ons.
The process would be:
First, in Kodi on the FireTV, add the source in System, File Manager, named as "J's Phone" using path of http://192.168.1.**/8080.
Then...
1. Edit the html file on phone to add the list of links to the repo's
2. Start html web server app on phone
3. Go to FireTV Kodi settings, add-ons, install from zip file
4. Select "J's Phone" and then click whichever link to whichever repo to install whichever add-on
Problem is, nothing is showing up when I select the "J's Phone" source, it's blank. The index.html file loads in my web browser when I enter http://192.168.1.**/8080 on my laptop.
Any ideas, and if this is even possible for Kodi to display a Lan html file like this?
Thanks in advance!
Jason.
