I am currently looking for a project to get involved with - Kodi struck my interest because I have been a user for a long time (used XBMC when it was for the Xbox During the day I work in the tech industry as a lead software engineer, mainly development in Python at the moment, but also work on some stuff in C# .NET, PHP and JS. Are there any areas that need more help than others? Open to suggestions.

among those languages, only python is relevant to kodi.

if you can do c++ then there's abundance of things you can do. just pick something that annoys you and do something about it. floss is a beautiful chaos, there is seldom any plans involved.
