Is it possible to manually trigger the screensaver to dim the screen DURING playback? There are times I like to watch a video as I fall asleep. I know the action to start the screensaver could be trigger by modifying keymaps but does this work while video is playing ?

I want the screen to dim while the video is playing. Not turn off after X minutes. Or am I misunderstanding your replies.

To just dim and keep playing video? I'm not sure if there's a way to do that.

Although, how would you know if you were asleep ;)
