It is nice and although I haven't seen it with the animations, I do think we have seen better skins here. That picture view mode is pretty special however. Plus it is only a beta so I guess I'm being abit to critical.

The picture mode reminds me of the PS3 slideshow, where the pictures drop onto a "table" looking like polaroids and negatives:

That would be cool if someone could figure out how to do that in XBMC. As for the rest of the skin, I'm a underwhelmed. It's too busy and doesn't look consistent for some reason. I think Vinci, Xephyr, Pandora, Zest (if it ever gets released ), and others are far better, even with some of them being in alpha/beta as well.

Weird thing about skins, though... what one person loves another hates.

Xface also have a Carousel Home Menu (Rotating/Circular Animation Effect) which no XBMC skin have yet

...I wonder how hard it would to be for a skinner to port it to XBMC?, they did port PM3 to MediaPortal

i'm not that impressed with the skin also, XBMC has a few original skins that look much better (like Vision).
but porting should be pretty easy, i'm sure someone who likes the skin can pick it up.

I hope someone ports this to xbmc. It blows all other skins away. Look at the dvd frames for movies & music......

Look good, it's is an illusion (eg. the reflection is flat, and the image inside the cover isn't tilted also)

i´m the dreadful man, that have ported the PM III skin to mediaportal.
( with permission from chokemaniac )

I´m also the skinner of Xface.

..yes it´s not real 3D, i have do there a illusion of 3D with some gfx tricks.
But i think it´s no problem for a skinner todo that in real 3d for XBMC, because you have the posibility for real 3D in XBMC

It´s realy easy to do such a scrolling home menue for XBMC also, you need only to take a look at Basichome.xml. The most things you can take over from the file to a xml for XBMC. You only have to change some Largely and lower case and the positions.

I could really see taking the existing PM3 and mod'n it with some of your XSkin features... that would really make it shine. What do you think? If you like the thought PM me, I have some ideas.
