If you want to import that addons.ini file when the guide starts then add it in:
Settings \ Optional \ Import addons.ini \ addons.ini File.
It will merge it into the addons.ini file that you can create in:
Menu \ Stream Setup \ Browse \ ADDON \ FOLDER \ Add Folder
Then when you play the channel it should give you some options to choose from.

Given the contents of the download link he posted, it sounds like he wants to use your guide to embed his channels into and distribute to the masses, and he wants you to tell him how to do it. I may be wrong of course.

I've just reinstalled my kodi (messed some things up), and I'm trying to get meta to download to use in this guide.
Can anyone tell me if the repo is working ok, as I keep getting installation failed when trying to install meta

One little thing....every time there is an update the show the date in long form always gets checked. It would be great that if I turn it off it stayed that way from update to update.
It should be long by default. Here it is in the settings.xml file.

The "issue" I was talking about is that the long date overlaps the time so I use the short date. Every update it gets set back to use the long date. I just want the settings I set not to change update to update. The OMdb Image and plot search and the TVDb/IMDb image search options in Lab 1 are reset every update as well.
Overall I just want things that I choose to stay the same......but that being said constant development is much more important. Just my 2 cents....well I live in Canada and we don't have pennies any more....so my 5 cents I guess lol.

None of these settings have changed in a long time.
Check if your settings.xml file is read-only.
Make a Settings change and see if the settings.xml file gets updated properly with a new value.
userdata\addon_data\script.tvguide.fullscreen\settings.xml
Maybe there is a corrupt setting in there.
Try deleting or renaming settings.xml and starting with a fresh file.
It could be as simple as a unicode problem with French characters in the file.
If you can isolate that with some tests I can fix it.
Have you ever installed a version directly from Github?
Things can end up in the wrong addons folder then.
Is anyone else seeing this behaviour?
