Sad Hi, I have tired numerous times to install Kodibuntu on a new PC. I have used Rufus, Universal Installer and unibootin as well as re-downloading the official Kodibuntu file from the Kodi site. Initially, I see a bunch of "u" s on the screen. Then finally something like linuxlive or Kodi live. Then it freezes and goes to a black screen. Here are the PC specs:

Asus M5A97 R 2.0 MB, San Disk SSD 128 (Windows 7 OS,) San Disk SSD 60 (NO OS...to be used for Kodi,) Seagate 1 TB HD (for data,) 8 gig of RAM., NVIDEA 210 graphics card, PNY.

I also want to store downloaded movies, videos on the 1 TB drive...if I can get it setup.

If I cannot use Kodibuntu, I suppose I will simply load Ubuntu and then install Kodi...however, there should be no reason to do this. I don't know where or if there is a log from the failed install.

Any help would be appreciated.
If you don't specifically need ubuntu, why don't you try something more lightweight.. like https://libreelec.tv/

I thought about either that or KodiELEC. However, I am concerned that they may not be as stable as Kodibuntu or Kodi with full Ubuntu. The PC has enough power to handle anything. I also want to be able to use a browser.

Just cannot figure out why Kodibuntu will not load. KodiELEC loads as do any Linus distros!
Cool.. then I would say load ubuntu proper and add kodi on top of that. It's not going to be much different.
