Quote:Which NVIDIA GPUs will support DX12?

NVIDIA will support the DX12 API on all DX11-class GPUs it has shipped; these belong to the Fermi, Kepler and Maxwell architectural families. At launch, DirectX 12 is supported by all Maxwell and Kepler GPUs. Fermi will receive DX12 support later this year (expected around the first wave of DX12 content).

my god, it's full of GPUs Smile
I know, but should give the end user some idea whether to stay with or update their current H/W or KODI version for DX12 support/compatiblity.
I heard from other forum that GTX 950 and 960 will support DX12.

But Kodi only uses DX11 or not?!

Being that the GTX 950/960 is Maxwell architecture it will support DX12.

Also listed on the nvidia site: GTX 950 Engine Specs:
Microsoft DirectX - 12 API with Feature Level 12.1

Currently yes, per Kodi v16 (Jarvis) changelog

A preemptive post on my part, more due to the fact one major OS (Win10) recently snuck in a DX12 update.

Really up to the KODI devs if they wish to support DX12, but this could be on the roadmap of features to future KODI's releases, i.e. the v.19/v.20 or v.21 release?
