Hi,

1) Is it possible to add rotating/random video background to the main menu? (from a folder containing videos)

2) What about images?

3) Is this something the skin has to provide or can I get a widget for it?

1) Not possible to do video backgrounds on the home screen.

2) Yes, images are possible. Just edit your main menu and change an item's background to multiimage and browse to your image folder.

3) Not sure what you're asking, if you have skin.helper.service installed you will see all of the available widgets when customizing your menu.
