Full Version: advancedsettings.xml not working in Xubuntu

Hello,

Until recently, I was using Kodi on Windows. I had no problem recovering watched status in separate nfo files using the usual advancedsettings.xml in the userdata folder.

I just installed Xubuntu and Kodi on an old laptop and created the same advancedsettings.xml file. I placed it in /usr/share/kodi/userdata folder, but Kodi won't recover any watched status. When I try to refresh the informations about one of my movies, Kodi indicates that he finds some local information, but it won't recover watched status. When I open the corresponding nfo file, the playcount is actually set to 1 so it should work.

I hope someone will be able to help...
Does your .XML file contains that line ?

Code:
<importwatchedstate>true</importwatchedstate>

Also I think that the .XML file should be in your userdata folder
which in your case should be ~/.kodi/userdata/
Hi,

It's working. It was in fact in the wrong folder.

Thank you for your help. Bye. ;-)
