hi ive been dealing with kodi addon dev. since 1 year and i have come to resolation of a very fundemental confusion is caused by data modelling of info labels

For example defining a content type is a property of the container, however what is expected is to have an abstract container, and define the content type in the list item which is the modelling of the infolabels.i think in a perfect world, model of the infolabels should have been done according to content types, not media types. And containers to be abstract.

i think this is a very old part of xbmc, and doing a fundemental change like that is not possible with few effort but there are seriously weird stuff there like if you set a video rating it is float but for music rating is string.

Just wanna know what u guys think about it.

*Again i know it is a very fundemental change and will impact from databases to library all over, just brainstorming
i can only comment on the rating issue,
that one is corrected in kodi krypton v17.
it's now a float for both video and music.
