When I turn the android box off and then turn it back on the favourites don't save on the home page. How can I make sure these stay? Thank you.

Sometimes Kodi "stalls" when it exists, normally due to something like an add-on not quitting fast enough. This can prevent the settings from being saved. The issue is fixed in the upcoming Kodi v17, and you can use a temp workaround for v16 by switching to another skin, then switching back to the skin you want. That skin switch will force an early save.
