i know it's a bit early since we're still wrapping up v17 for release, but there are a few changes for the next version that are worth mentioning...

1. we're going to drop the now, next & channel listings (id 11, 12, 13) from the PVR Guide window.

2. we're dropping support for using a hyphen as a none value

all these changes are safe for v17 as well, so if you're that way inclined you can start by removing them now.

1.With the epg are we going to be able to create different views for the epg grid?

2. Will this break the skin in kodi 18 L? Or could we still use a hyphen till 19?

Just currently developing a skin and want to know how I should do it now. Skin probably wont be released till version 18, or will I have to change it later?

1 i don't think there are any plans in that direction.

2 it will break in v18

Hi Ronie, possible to bump the xbmc.gui version already for Kodi 18 ?
I ask this because v18 brings major breaking changes to skins and this way it will prevent users from installing the skin at the first place which saves us skinners some time providing support to those already installing v18 while there's not yet a v18 compatible skin version .
