I've noticed that the new Krypton player pops up a notification a few seconds before a commercial is about to start (recorded tv with comskip). I can't figure out how to suppress that notification. Does anybody know how to do that?
I would like to disable this too. To me comskip is about reducing distractions during playback.

This is currently not possible. This was implemented in pull request 9399 (
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/9399) and there is no advanced setting to allow for disabling it.
I think someone may want to make a feature request for it. I will try to make a pull request, but I have nothing to develop on so it will be fly by my seat guessing if I get time to do it.
I, too, was sad when they asked me to remove the options the original PR had. :-(

Also, you could bypass the commercial notification if you instead mark the commercials as "Cuts" in whatever EDL format you're using.
