Beebox S-7200U has HD Graphics 620. Not sure whether that has anything to do with the APAVP test to fail.

@etc6849: Do you have a CPU with HD Graphics 630 on your ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming- ITX/AC board?

Unrelated: HDR still doesn't work in Kodi on Windows 10 Creators Update. My system was updated a few days ago. I only have a GTX 1060 card. May be it is different on a system with Intel HD Graphics. I actually can't find anything related to HDR or wide color gamut anywhere in Windows/nVIDIA settings.

Is HDR doomed on Intel Kaby lake HW with Windows?

No, it is not. Apparently, it works with PowerDVD 17.0.
Hi

Can Intel KL GPUs do HDR and HEVC under Linux?

Is the Gigabyte Brix GB-BKi7HA-7500 fast enough for 4k and HEVC inc. HDR or should I wait for the Intel Core i7-7567U with Iris GPU?

thx

With what hardware will the HDR sign popup using PowerDVD 17?

Yes, out of luck unfortunately if you want to play 4k uhd br or Netflix 4k.

Even if you use a GPU card that supports HDMI 2.0/HEVC 10 bit etc., if your CPU isn't Skylake (or Kabylake?) and your motherboard/BIOS doesn't support SGX then you're stuffed? (AIUI SGX allows memory to be protected so other processes can't read it - increasing security yet further?)

I have the option available in the BIOS, but wasn't activated before yesterday. Despite that, Netflix was already running in 4k by using Edge or the store app before the activation of SGX? Maybe the restriction is for UHD BR only?
Interesting. How did you verify Netflix was 4k? There is a debug screen when playing video: control+shift+alt+d.

Hopefully they came to their senses, but before 4k was only working via the windows store app.

Yes. No other graphics will pass the cyberlink advisor tool afaik.

Netflix in 4k by using Edge is quite some time available (google), but restriction is Kaby Lake and Windows 10. I think the 4k support when using the app was even a bit later then when using Edge. I verified it several times when it came up in a discussion.

Actually - looks like I <may> be in luck. I've got a Skylake CPU - just need to check my BIOS supports SGX and it is enabled? I think it is recent enough that it should be a version with SGX.

SkyLake for 4k Netflix? 4K content from Netflix is now available exclusively for compatible PCs and 2-in-1 devices with Windows 10**

**To run Netflix in 4K on a PC device, it must have a 4K-capable screen and use a 7th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor.

I wasn't actually talking about Netflix - was more looking at UHD Blu-ray. Though I suspect that may also be 7th Gen only then...
