I think one of the things also needed is to have Kodi to be able to Switch Resolution base on the file types you player, this feature is already supported in Andriod( tested Himedia Q10 Pro) this will help 3D MVC playback.

If the Resolution is set to 3840X2160 3D MVC playback doesn't work and HDR support.

PS: The ASRock Beebox-S KabyLake will be released November 15th.
In France ASRock Beeboox 7200U will be available November 8th for 450 € without SSD/memory/OS.
50 € more than the 6200U version Sad
I find prices are too high for MiniPC compared to laptop.

For the same vendor you have a Acer Aspire F5-573-56J4 (7200U ) at 550 €.
and for 100€ more you have:
128 GO SSD, memory 4 Go, Win10, 15,6" screen, the battery, webcam ...

Profit must be really good on MiniPC sales.
Kaby Lake NUC has a 7th - 14th Nov release date in UK on Scan.co.uk depedning on which processor you choose.

i3

i5

i7
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigabyte...c-mdp-hdmi

I think I might opt for the i5. Should be able to play anything and everything for the next few years. (HD audio, 4k, HDR, 10bit etc)

And when do you get it? Monday??
My Beebox-s 7100 box arrived yesterday. I have everything installed today. In principle it works great.

3D MVC and 10 bit works with the HDMI 1.4 port. 4k Hevc movies Up to 30hz works with the hdmi 1.4 port as well. If you want to watch 4k movies with 50 or 60 fps you need to use the hdmi 2.0 port. Unfortunately 3D doesn't work with the hdmi 2.0 port and you also can't connect your tv or receiver with both ports at the same time. If you do the movie output over the hdmi 1.4 port stutters.

Don't know yet, don't want to buy and return.

Damn I thought you could use both port for different resolutions settings.

Wondering if it works with a display port to HDMI adapter for both instances.

So HDMI 1 (4K/2K@60Hz) port can't do 3D MVC? Seems odd... did you switch resolution to 1080p for 3D?

How big did you get the HDD? RAM?

Resolution was set to 1080p. Video start to play and you can hear audio, but my projector (Sony VW500) shows that the resolution is unsupported. Perhaps it works on a TV, but I wouldn't be too optimistic, because it works with the other hdmi port.

SSD is 120gb and 2x4gb Hyperx RAM. System is rock solid.
