you are running a real old kodi version (14.2) and in 32bit. Could you try the 64bit version instead?

Is there a reason you want to have 14.2?

Also it might not work when started from the desktop - please move kodi into the application folder

Ok, but let me quickly tell you that I'm running 14.2 because someone on this forum posted that the "fix" was to go back to it instead of 16.1 Jarvis, (which is what I was previously running when the problem 1st occurred - well, that's obviously not the fix since the problem persists!). Also, I had it in applications and was told that it might run better from the desktop, (supposedly free from any bad associated data files in applications.... didn't make sense to me, but I was willing to try anything!) OK, so now I'll go back to 16.1 and run from applications..... right?
