No, to record you need a proper PVR backend. There are forks of the plugin that records, but in general the answer is no.

+1 I still didn't found any IPTV Simple Client that can record. Apparently there was one called XTCodes Client but the developer shutted it down..

it wont work for apple tv (ios),
its for mac!
it works fine on the right platform.
if you want it for anything els other than linux or mac,
it needs compiling

I tried to compile it for windows but it failed. I wonder if the GitHub repo has all the necessary stuff to get it compiled in windows
