Kodi Community Forum

Hi,

I just installed kodi. Changed in settings to allow http connection. However, I can not connect. I am getting error message: Connection to server lost.

OS: Ubuntu 16.10
kodi: 16.1 Debian package version: 16.1+dfsg1-2 Media Center Kodi from Debian
I am using port 8088.
I tried using port 8080 and connection from localhost. No difference.

Any ideas?

Weird thing is that the official app works just fine, but web access via a browsers gives me this error.

I'm on local network with excellent connection (<1ms ping)

Maybe a firewall issue?
