I am running Kodi on Openelec. My default audio output is a MyDac connected by USB. The video output is HDMI connected to my AV Receiver. When I am playing music the audio goes through the MyDac and then to my receiver. When I am watching movies the audio output is on passthrough through through the HDMI so I get AC3, DTS and HD-DTS, True Dolby HD directly to the AV Receiver to decode. The problem is I have many movies that have multichannel LPCM or Flac. These streams get pushed to MyDac which can't decode it. Is there any way to send the multichannel LPCM/Flac to the HDMI without having to manually change the default audio output each time? My AV Receiver can decode pcm and flac.
