I know that this has been discussed in numerous threads as I've found but I can't find a thread that relates to the home automation situation.
For those of us who use SmartThings with Kodi per this thread

Where Kodi is now a device inside of SmartThings and SmartThings will pull the status of what Kodi is doing through the UpNp. The problem that we're seeing per this issue on github is that the status just won't update.
I'm just curious if anyone has come up with a solution to this or perhaps can help us with some better code perhaps that SmartThings can use to poll the status of Kodi better. Thank you all for your help with this in advance as it is greatly appreciated.
