With the Estaury mod skin the skipping and no sound problem stops, but when selecting a tv channel for the first time it shows oke but selecting the next it "displays" as audio and doesn't show the video.
When I press TAB afterwards both audio and video show.

If visualisation is disabled does the problem still occur?

With the Estaury mod skin the skipping and no sound problem stops, but when selecting a tv channel for the first time it shows oke but selecting the next it "displays" as audio and doesn't show the video.
When I press TAB afterwards both audio and video show.

Attached a youtube movie:
Starts with visualisation option on and skin option "play audio fullscreen". It should have sound at start.
Then I zap to next channel, skin sees it as audio. Pressing tab gives audio and video.
Then I disable the visualisation. Stop playing and start again.
Video and audio is oke, but next zap makes the skin still see it as audio.
Then I disable the option in the skin, stop the tv and start it again. Everything oke.

Downgrade to 0502 fixes both.
Since #0419 all updates I tried broke the retroplayer support. The emulators do not start anymore. I use the IARL addon to launch thé games. Then I AM asked to chose between thé available emulators installed. On récent versions it is not doing that anymore. Just nothing happens. Downgrading to #0419 always seems to fix the Problem.

Rectification:
In #0506 works correctly
In #0507 does not work
In #0508 also works correctly

I think there will be no more log needed...

Yes, stick with #0419 if you depend on addons only available from the repository. The recent add-on changes in Kodi master have broken a number of LE repository based binary addons that now need to be re-compiled. This will happen soon, just waiting for things to calm down in Kodi-land and then we can bump LE master with a new Kodi, as it's a big job.
Hi Milhouse,

Having problems with Kodi when using PVR. I am using TVHeadend.

When scrolling through the channels on the full screen info OSD (Up/Down) to scroll through channel the system is locking up and then freezing.
Have tested about 15 of the last builds and produces same results.

Crashlog here

Occurs every time. Have tried on clean builds, no difference. Don't think this is skin related as it is prevalent with both Estuary Stock and Mod. (Unless it is an estuary problem)

Thanks
@kjb85 not sure what might be causing that, although obviously it's PVR/EPG/JSON/Python related, in varying degrees... Sad

Possibly one for @ksooo.

If nobody replies with any ideas then going back through a few more builds in order to find the first breaking build will usually help - try the beginning of each month for the last 6 months and then work forwards (assuming you've found a build without the issue) until you identify the first build with the issue.
I've actually tried #1130 so the issue appears to have been there from the start.

Running one of garbears retroplayer builds on Windows and the problem doesn't exist. This is why i'm almost certain it is a Libreelec/Rpi problem.

Seems like it's going to be a hard one to crack.

Edit: Issue does exist on another build of Linux/Ubuntu.....

Hi @kjb85

Would not be bad if one another RPi with the same SD card tested to rule out defective hardware. Perhaps also other power supply?

Hi Aux_,

I have already tried a different SD Card to make sure this isn't the problem.

I have another Pi I will try out but i'm starting to think it may be a core problem with Linux. I was able to replicate the problem with the latest nightly on Ubuntu also.
Bumping posts is usually not my kind, but is anything seen below being worked on atm? Both are still up-to-date in latest #0508.

Kodi crash on frequent audio stream opening:

referring to this one? 2391310 (post) That would be awesome! ;-)

Afraid not - it was originally an error reported against pvr.hts with many subtitle streams. However it was subsequently identified as a core kodi issue, so the fix may have benefits for all, but I'm not sure if it fixes your specific issue.

Presumably you still have the issue with a latest build? Could you upload a new crashlog (with debug enabled)?

Unfortunately it's doesn't seem to be the case, although this time it took me quite a while to force a crash. Undecided
The log file was too big for pastebin, so dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2y1w1dyif7oedw...7.log?dl=0

Thanks.

I would suggest opening a trac ticket (trac.kodi.tv) and include a link to a sample video.
There are two tickets
http://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/17371
http://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/17373
referring to the issue and a lot of sample files in this thread.

thanks a lot!
