(2018-06-02, 03:01)vbat99 Wrote: [ -> ]I read this thread daily ( or more), and have a issue someone might have come across

Clean install of Libreelec 8.2.5 Pi2 ( for a new Pi 3B+).
Set up basics, ssh, host name.
Then placed new Milhouse 1st June 2018 rpi2 tar into update folder.
Reboot, and kodi updated successfully.

But, I can not install any add-ons. Every one fails with dependency failed. Does not matter if its a skin, HD Trailer addon, or Netflix (which is what I am after)
Rolled backwards a couple of Milhouse versions, but issue still exists.

So, placed LibreElec 8.2.5 into update folder, and rebooted.
Ta da, can install add-ons perfectly.
Update to #0601 Milhouse, and nope, fails any add-on with depencencys.

Oh, and on start of Milhouse #0601 I see a message remote communication server failed to start, but not on 8.2.5

I know, no log - didn't happen. Just damn tired right now, and thought someone might have an idea what the heck is going on with my system.

I am stumped.

Tried again this morning, clean install of LibreElec 8.2.5, left all settings as default but turned on SSH.
Dropped Milhouse Alpha #0601 into update folder and rebooted.
First error is Remote Communication server failed to start
Then attempted to install addon HD-Trailer.Net, failed.
Log file here http://ix.io/1c8h

As I mentioned above, clean install of 8.2.5 only and I do not get any error of remote communication, and I can install addon's without issue.
And by clean install, SD Card written with libreelec SD Creator.

Help me Obi-wan, someone...anyone?

Can you try enabling "Wait for network" if you haven't already? Kodi is starting and you don't have a working network connection, so network requests are failing.
Omg, such a simple change and no error. And add-ons are installing.

Assume this something similar to window booting on ssd drive and network not up yet.
But, why this is OK on libreelec 8.2.5? Suppose cause these are alpha test builds.

Thank you so much.

No, still very unstable.
Can you instead try sdram_schmoo=0x0200002b for now. We think we know which change caused the issue and this change should undo it.

I ran 1 pass of memtester, it seem to be stable with sdram_schmoo=0x0200002b.

Does this happen with 8.2.5?
Yes, same behaviour with 8.2.5.

Okay, the change has now been reverted for now. Make sure you remove the "2b" change when updating tonight.

Just installed #602 on my RaPi2. Everything seems to run fine, exect the shortcuts in "videos" and "programs" are gone. No possibility to create them. So I downgraded to #601 and they are back again.

I assume you mean #0602- see this post.

Edit: Put your SD card in a PC, edit config.txt (root of the SD card) and add sdram_schmoo=0x0200002b. This issue will be fixed in #0603, when you can remove the line from config.txt.
Since 602 I cannot change the view type of my fullscreen info in live TV
bevor it was possible.
Also on AEON.Nox.5 it did not work anymore. Going back to 601 and it work again.
I haven't been following daily updates recently - 3D ISO wasn't working for a while. Today I updated to current #0602. My old problems 3D ISO playback and 1080i video stuttering are solved Smile

I have new problem. Don't know if this was discussed earlier but on the upgrade Kodi updated my local movie database. Some new movies were not scanned into database at all. I try to rename files, select both scrapers The Movie Database and Universal Movie Scraper without any success. If I select Info in file browser I'm getting pup up with "Loading movie details" and "No information found" and file name. I used to get manual entry box where I could adjust title. All I can do now is click OK and back for file list. Those movies don't show up in movie list. The same applies to #0601.

Any ideas?
