Thanks doldi and fightnight for the tips to get KODI back up again.
I deleted the inputstream.mpd, and it froze at further place on startup, as shown by the on screen log.
Then I deleted the inputstream.smoothstream and the boot completed!
Didn't have to nuke the database (yet?)

Hi Milhouse

PR11054 didnt fix the live tv osd issues, and ive also notice channel manager does work anymore, nothing happens when selected.
Is there anything I can do to help find the issues.

Kind Regards

Bucky

As always, please post a debug log when changing channel or accessing the channel manager, but this likely needs the input of a developer to get to the bottom of the issue.

It slightly annoys my family when they expect the input to be what it was when the TV was powered off...

Can you enable CEC component specific debugging in kodi, and normal debug logging.
ssh in and run:
Code:
vcgencmd vcos log set cec trace
systemctl restart kodi

Then power off and on the TV (or whatever it is you do that provokes the unwanted behaviour). Grab logs and post the URLs
Code:
pastebinit /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
vcdbg log msg 2>&1 | pastebinit

Hopefully something in here helps.

switched debug on, rebooted, started tv channel, changed channel a couple of times, and thats it.

Hi All
During the last builds that I installed in the raspberry Pi3, I always end in a loop of the device after the installation: the Kodi logo is shown again and again

Can you please help? this happened with the last night build and also with the last previous that I installed from 26 Nov.

I already tried to copy manually some files to the SD card as described below but it does not solve the issue

thanks

Open the tar file and extract the KERNEL and SYSTEM files from the "target" folder. Copy these two files to your FAT partition, renaming KERNEL to kernel.img. Then try booting again. Sounds like your SD card glitched during the first boot.

If you need to copy the bootloader files too, then you'll find these in the 3rdparty/bootloader folder of the tar file - copy the *.dtb, fixup.dat, bootcode.bin and start.elf files to the FAT partition.

No change here. I have the PI plugged into a Samsung TV by HDMI. Sound output is on an Onkyo stereo by HDMI. Turning on the PI turns on the TV and switches the source to the PI. Turning on the TV leaves the setting at the default cable box.

I have made changes to the default CEC control settings. I set the PI to not turn off the TV if it is turned off or rebooted. No sense in cycling the power for a nightly software load.

I have noticed on many occasions that the Onkyo NR-626 screws up or blocks CEC control. The only solution is to unplug the Onkyo for a minute to cause a full restart. Looking at the Amazon reviews of Onkyo home theater receivers this seems to be a widespread problem across many models.

Maybe some other component is causing your problem.

Without a crashlog it's difficult to be sure, but you could try the advice from previous pages just in case...

Code:
rm -fr /storage/.kodi/addons/inputstream.*

If that doesn't work, post a link to your crashlog.

Not sure where you got this from or why you posted it, but nobody has needed to follow this advice for at least 2 years...
I am currently trying to compile from source for imx6 but I am getting an error building the dvbhdhomerun driver.
Can anyone see what the issue might be and how to fix it?
I dont have a hdhomerun device so I could exclude that drive but I dont know where or how to do that either.

Any help appreciated

OT post - you should start a thread on the LibreELEC.tv forum where there will be someone familiar with imx6 able to help.

Without a crashlog it's difficult to be sure, but you could try the advice from previous pages just in case...

Code:
rm -fr /storage/.kodi/addons/inputstream.*

If that doesn't work, post a link to your crashlog.

If you need to copy the bootloader files too, then you'll find these in the 3rdparty/bootloader folder of the tar file - copy the *.dtb, fixup.dat, bootcode.bin and start.elf files to the FAT partition.
Not sure where you got this from or why you posted it, but nobody has needed to follow this advice for at least 2 years...
Thanks! The rm command worked! Those instructions were indeed old Smile you sent it to me about 2 years ago
