Check if you have a crash log, maybe Kodi is in a restart loop which would explain the lack of a GUI (although this should have resulted in safe mode being triggered, if you left it long enough - 5 crashes within 15 minutes). At the very least a debug log is required. Renaming your .kodi folder would be the quickest way to start without add-ons.

No, i don´t have a crash log, no restart loop, and the normal kodi log looks pretty same as before (some errors, but i don´t think it´s connected with "no picture" problem). I will try clean install instead and will see - when i have time :-) Thank you :-)
EDIT: Without addons (after rename .kodi folder) it starts after update just fine :-) I will keep looking, which addon exactly...
@
Milhouse - I believe this may be a known issue, but I wanted provide logs. When playing streams from Fox Sports Go or PS Vue addons, it will often have video freezes, drop audio or just crash. There are a lot of "ActiveAE - large audio sync errors" that show. I've tried various combinations of settings with enabling/disabling hw acceleration, hq scaler %, cache settings, different versions of inputstream adaptive.
Let me know if I can provide any other info.
Debug log, journalctl, etc
Crash Log
I’ve been running these builds for a while and they’ve been great.
However the asteroids screensaver has stopped working a while back. I’ve tried the builds provided here by millhouse and the generic librelelec. All I get is a black screen.
I’ll do a debug log however is it possible for a rebuild?
Thanks in advance
Seems that further changes with ir patches (PR:
2623 broke my remote infrastructure (RC6 with Harmony Hub).
No reaction with build #0416 even with increasing the repeat level to "3" in Harmony settings.
Back to bulid #0415 i had to plug in- and out my RC6 receiver to get my remote working again.
Maybe @
HiassofT has an idea?

What kind of IR receiver are you using? Please post the output of ir-keytable and your dmesg (run "dmesg | paste").
And, could you configure repeat level to 2 or 3 on your remote and run the following tests both on 0415 and 0416 and post the output of the commands after pressing a single button:
First stop kodi and eventlircd:
Code:
systemctl stop kodi
systemctl stop eventlircd
Then run
press a button, abort command with ctrl-c and post the output, after that run
press the same button, abort with ctrl-c and post the output.

Thanks for knocking on an open door!

Thanks for the info!
ir-ctl -r output has the same odd very long space as in the other report.
I've dropped the mceusb commit that quite certainly caused that from the PR, today's build should be fine again.

@
debutanker thanks a lot for your feedback!
If you have a few minutes it would be great if you could run a few more tests on build #0416 (with the non-functioning remote). The goal of the mceusb patch was to make remotes more snappy, maybe it optimized things too much, maybe that optimization doesn't work with your IR receiver, maybe there's something we missed - would be good to find that out.
On build #0416, with kodi running, run the following command and check if your remote starts working again:
Also test with "ir-ctl -t 125000"
If one of these settings brought remote functionality back it would be good to know if lower values also work. Test with 75000, 50000, 40000, 30000, 25000. You can try other values in between if you like, but if some of these settings work it would already be good to know about it.
so long,
Hias
