HDMI Firmware 1.71 or HDMI Firmware 1.72 installed?
 If that question is directed at me, then no, I have HDMI firmware 1.66 installed, which is the most recommended version (the 1.72 causes other problems for many). The 1.71 is for a newer NUC version that has two HDMI outputs. By all accounts, the 1.66 firmware fixes any bitstreaming/passthrough issues with the hardware, which is evidenced by my ability to passthrough using Windows 10/Kodi. I just can't get it to work with LibreELEC which is my preferred platform.
Some Testing from my side, i hae an MKV of Alien which is not running when Hardware Acceleration of HVEC is enabled (VAAPI HVEC ENABLED) with my AMDRyzen 5 2400G, wit the Asrocj J5005-ITX Board (Gemeni Lake) it works fine.
So may be an AMD Driver issue.

Can you try upgrading to, and then booting, with #0625 - hopefully this build has resolved the issue with your Realtek card reader (the driver started using different config options somewhere between 4.14.y and 4.17.y).

Please post Debug Log and 50 MB sample to reproduce.
@billbillw

Also have a NUC7i3BNH.
HDMI version 1.66 has worked only with an adapter from USB-C to HDMI for me (to a Denon AVR X4000).
After an update to the new version, DTS-HD works now with HDMI (but USB-C is no longer working).
#0625 is working with SD-cards, thanks! Smile

BTW is custom EDID working again with this build?

Not yet, but try tonight's #0626 build which will include an updated getedid script.

OK, Maybe I'll try the 1.72. At this point, nothing to loose. I can swap back to my Windows SSD tonight and give it a try. Oddly, with 1.66, I had lots of issues with the USB-C-HDMI converter. I had problems with the projector saying unsupported video feed, but it wasn't consistent.
Is it me only but opensubtitles and podnapisi addon not work with these test builds when trying download subtitles? I have tested with two different computers. It just trying to search very long time.

Without a debug log, nobody knows.

It's either a busy dialog issue (the add-on shouldn't be opening the busy dialog), or a language reuse issue (short term fix is to add <reuselanguageinvoker>false</reuselanguageinvoker> (see PR13814)). Probably best to contact the add-on maintainer for a Kodi 18/Leia compatible fix.
