I wondered if anyone can help - Kodi Version is 16.

Running the IPVanish app and Kodi on my Android phone works like a dream.

On the Shield, sadly a different matter.

Once I've loaded the IPVanish app (which I sideloaded) and connect. I then return to the home screen to load Kodi. With the VPN connected Kodi just hangs on a blank screen. Disconnect the VPN and load Kodi from the home screen and it works like a charm.

Any help greatly appreciated.

1) Not a Kodi support issue. The best place to ask is on an Android or Nvidia Shield specific forum.

2) Kodi does not require a VPN, what are you trying to achieve?

I suggest looking into getting the VPN in at the router level.

I did forget to mention that Netflix and Amazon video work fine with IPVanish on the shield which is why I thought of trying the Kodi forums.

I'll look into getting a different router.
