Our fire tv updated and now I cannot get to Kodi unless
I go to installed apps and launch it. Is there any way to get it back on the home screen?

I am having the same issue. My Fire TV updated to 5.2.4.0 and now KODI doesn't show up in Recent on the home screen. I tried to use Llama to open KODI from the ikono TV app and I cannot get that to work either. Has anyone found a way to fix this?
You might have to install again but you wont need ikono or llama it will appear as an icon on homescreen (recent after you open it a few times through installed apps and launch it)
