Full Version: Debugging constant crashes (have log files)

Just starting trying this stuff out, so I don't have too much experience with Kodi/OSMC or linux in general (if that matters). Trying to set up a raspberry pi with IPTV (using stalker client) as a christmas gift, but keep getting random crashes. They usually happen within about 10 minutes of starting, so it's pretty much unusable. I read up on how to submit problems so here are logs from two different crashes. They're different formats so one may be from the uploader addon while one is from the normal OSMC upload (again, new to this). I removed any MACs or IPs, let me know if that's an issue.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Edit: using a Raspberry Pi 2, haven't installed the MPEG-2 or VC-1 licenses. I'm going to if needed, but want to make sure it works first.
First, suspect the power supply or the cable. Do you have others on hand to test?
I've tried an 0.7amp and a 1.2amp power supply (trying the 1.2 because of the crashes) and I just tried another USB cable and still got crashes. Is 1.2A not enough for a Raspberry Pi 2 + Wireless dongle? I have a 3.6A coming in today I just bought to charge my phone that I can try.

Not an edit, but just looked up the numbers again and I think I misread the chart (reading Raspberry Pi 1B at 1.2A instead of Raspberry Pi 2B at 1.8A). Thanks for the help, hopefully the new supply fixes it.
Unfortunately the new power supply doesn't seem to help. I'm assuming there's no issue using this supply, since it says it charges non-quick charge devices at up to 2.4A: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B016LO4...UTF8&psc=1

Trying to get another set of logs in case the problem was power supply and it's now something else, but it's crashing a lot.
Is the crash a sad face and kodi restarts itself?
Can you ssh in and run "vcgencmd get_throttled" after kodi restarts? That should indicate if there has been a power supply issue.

If you disable the stalker client do you still get crashes? (e.g. test with youtube or local content).
