Kodi 18 alpha (starting with Kodi commit: 17.0-beta6-654f1b7) seems to have api changes that require modification of video add ons. Is this the right place to bring this up?
Is there a source repo somewhere, or is this addon close source?
Using libreelec latest Krypton alpha and the HDHomeRun addon works fine, no issues with live TV.
No idea then, why we're having different experiences, but we are.
I am having the same issue with the progress bar loading using the HDhomeun add on. I am using Milhouse builds, and the issue starts on build #1213
1212b works
#1213 progress bar loops
I will cross post this to the silicondust forums

That matches my experience exactly.

Yeah, did that. I'm not holding my breath. SD has been pretty darn unresponsive from what I can see.
I'm here as my Linux distribution software is getting newer, kodi is getting newer, and I still get the progress bar that won't go away with the latest HDHomeRun viewer script, 2017.1.2 :
https://kodi.tv/addon/scripts-video-add-ons/hdhomerun Older versions of the plugin fail in the same way.
The "Forum" link at that page goes to "The forum you selected does not exist." at Silicon Dust. There was a discussion at their forum about this earlier this year. I posted to that thread and it no longer shows in "my posts", the thread does not exist, and there is an explanation that SD "purges" according to some age criterion or....

I did have an older Kodi build working with the hdhomerun addon at the beginning of this year. However, my kodi builds from git always work better than the distro-provided package and I have to build from new sources on the current version of my distro, Mageia 6.
My recollection of the deleted thread was an explanation that there was an API change, in kodi, I think, and the plugin needed patching to work with it. Just posting, in case there is some info. Thanks.
Anyone has news on this issue. Maybe some workaround to clean the screen so its actually usable?

Hi,
For a while, it's been working for me. I run builds of Kodi from the git sources. Now, the Build in System info shows Kodi 17.6 Git:2017-11-14-a9a7a20 and the last build, from about 3 months ago, also was working. HDHR addon from SiliconDust is showing 2017.1.2 as the version and it's from the Kodi Add-on Repository.
