I've noticed there is a 'group items' radio button in the options menu of the pvr recordings screen. To me it looks like the button has no visible effect as I keep seeing the same list view with the option active or not.

My pvr backedn is vdr with vnsi which currently has no option to pressent recordings in groups. So I was hoping I could leverage this option to group my recordings into folders for the various tv series I recorded.

Could you please explain if this a bug in the skin or what else is required to make this option work?

The grouping is dependent upon your backend's support. MythTV uses it for recording groups and series. Tvheadend groups by recording subdirectories. Not sure what VDR groups on, or if it even supports it ...
