Hello everyone,

I hope someone solved this problem in the past.
I tried different release of Kodi from 14 to 17.

When I load a m3u file into IPTV client it will load all the channels but when I go to click on them no stream starts.

It worked before (Kodi 14). Since I updated to Kripton I started having that problem. I even tried to install the v14 back still can't see any video.
It shows the working icon for few seconds then it disappear and no stream whatsoever.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,
D.

PS I have no problem using VLC instead
check the file format. it needs to be proper txt format. that happened to me before.
if do not remember wrong file needs to be in ANSI TXT format. if not IPTV Simple Client does not recognize the channel list.
I too am having this issue. I have done everything that I have been told to do, everything I have seen to do and still nothing works. I have the channel list and its in the correct format, have done all the videos have said to do but when I click the channel it says working then goes away and no picture. can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong
This is part of the log file.
I'm not a professional user I only see an Error 401 which I don't know what it is.

Hi,

I had the same problem (Channel list but not video).
To correct this problem on my Raspberry PI 3 under Raspian jessie, i put a password to kodi (sudo passwd kodi) and also in /boot/config.txt change "hdmi_force_hotplug=1"
And also to day sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade.
After these changes > no problems.

Let me know if it works for you.

Have nice day.

Christian
Hello Christian,

Thank you for your reply.
I'm truly sorry but I forgot to mention that I have that problem on a Windows 10 OS.

Is anywhere I can look to change those option within the Windows environment?

Thank you again.

David.

I have the same problem on Mac OS, could you explain in more detail what you did and maybe I can follow in Kodi? Sudo commands are from Linux, correct? Please more info.
