When I open one of my picture folders, Kodi starts loading metadata every time I open a folder.
When I go back to a folder, Kodi starts to read the metadata again.

This is very unpleasant and lasted a long time for a high number of images.
How can I disable, or trigger this process manual?

In RC4 there will be a setting "Show EXIF picture information" in "Media -> Pictures", this will control the loading of EXIF tag metadata which is what currently causes the slowness, if you disable this setting then the EXIF tags will not be checked.
