Hi,

Just got the new sheild.. programmed w/ Harmony Elite/Hub. But when I press back button while playing a video, the video doesn't stop and just shows me menus.

I think some keymap is needed, I am sure folks have done it before.. any pointers to just copy a already modified file to sheild kodi keymap?

That is the usual behavior for back. But change it in the harmony setup, not in Kodi.

I'm not at home now but I recall it is not obvious how to do it. Wait 8 hours until I finish work and get home.

Opened MyHarmony software, don't see where I could enter 61448?

As far as Harmony is concerned it is a Kodi machine, not an nvidia console.

You need to add 2 devices to your Activity. The Shield then a Windows PC (keyboard) as a Bluetooth device, then on the Shield pair it as an accessory.

The set it up according to the chart I posted (first link in your OP). Install the keymap editor add-on in Kodi, then you can map the buttons as I have on the chart.

You do NOT need the keymap editor. Harmony has all the Kodi actions. It is just a matter of setting the harmony up as a Kodi remote and then setting the keys to the Kodi action you desire.

As far as I know, setting it up as a Kodi remote (Media Player) only gives you the option for controlling it over IR. The 2017 16GB Shields don't have a IR reciever.

No, it sets it up for bluetooth.

That's just adding a Microsoft Media Player device, which is basically the same as adding a Windows PC.

And just to be clear, you don't need to make any Keymap Editor changes with my setup. Most everything will work "out of the box" once you assign the commands in the Harmony app. All you need the Keymap Editor add-on for is for extra commands or to change commands.

Anything starting with a "6" in the Keymap Editor column is already preassigned in Kodi.
