Full Version: How can one show the items in the menus sorted by alphabet?

How can one show the items in the menus sorted by alphabet:

open the config file config.xml with a text editor and sort the entries unter <movieDataSource> as you wish

this list is filled in the order you added the data sources
Oops, that sounds quite circumstantially. And you would have to do it each time again after adding / removing sources, I guess.

Isn't there a "common" manner to do it? May be in the settings or so?

Better think of restructuring them a bit? (10 sources starting with same drive and directory?!)

If you order it in config file, it will be same as in GUI.
Adding one, will add it at the end...

And no, we won't change that, since i need the abolute ordering for commandline access....

Yes, some basic sorting on the drive. You mean one letter per one drive? You have a better idea / sorting?

Yes, just done it, works fine. So I could add the sources directly to that config file in the future.

Alright, no easier sorting.
