guys i know e asked the question many times . but i could not get to do it .

some people suggest dropbox but drop box is not working with apple tv 4 . at least in mine .

is there anyway not that complicated to transfer zip file to apple tv for kodi purpose .

it will be great when you suggest to explain step by step how to do it ?

thank you for you time and god bless this community . always appreciate with or without success .

ps: kodi is sideloaded this apple tv 4 is not jailbroken . so i think can not use cyberduck .
Put your zip file in a network shared directory such as a smb share and then look for it in Kodi.

Install the CyberDuck app on your MacBook, connect the MacBook to the same network as your ATV4, enter your ATV4's IP address into the CyberDuck app, copy/paste the files into your "mobile" root folder on the ATV4. I think that should work - and don't forget to donate to the Devs of CyberDuck.

Macs can do it too.

Regardless, it was just an example. Pick a network sharing protocol, Kodi can connect to quite a few as the previous link explains. Even Mac AFP shares.

You didn't notice it was a link? Actually a link to the same page Dangelus linked to at about the same time? To a wiki page explaining how to set up an smb share on a Mac? Oh well. Sad This is a link to the same page btw. Wink
i did fallow the link instruction and can not connect . still have no access to my file shared still in trouble
For users that are jailbroken you dont need to host it on your Mac, just simply use the web. Host the file on mediafire then use wget to get it on your Apple TV. Navigate to the file in Kodi and install zip file, done. When using the link from media fire make sure you click the download button and grab the actual download button link. For example:

If I wanted this http://www.mediafire.com/file/dzr0tzdzrn...b-tvos.ipa I would click the link and get the link on the download button which is this:

http://download1480.mediafire.com/d81wyf...b-tvos.ipa

But its only temporary so you can only use that temporarily link for a day or so.

Once you are ready to grab it just use wget:

wget http://download1480.mediafire.com/d81wyf...b-tvos.ipa

it will save to the root of the Apple TV by default which kodi can access through its file browser when searching for a zip instead.

i searched how to use wget but could not find how . plz if u can help mere with little step by step thx bless you

i know u r just giving me an example but the file i want is .zip and not ipa thx

( update ):

i downloaded wget utility i opened terminal wget and past th link in form of http:// from (media fire)

hit enter download went through . but nothing went to apple tv 4th /

i checked the kodi root nothing . first if no ssh then no connection between my mnacbook and the apple tv 4 . I'm confused hhh sorry

should i be connected to appletv4th using type while I'm doing transfer ? hmm
Once you ssh into your jailbroken aTV4 you then use wget. The wget command downloads the file directly to your aTV4. No need to download the file onto your computer and no need to download wget, it automatically installs wget on your aTV4 when its jailbroken with pangu.
kuzn if you did read my thread we wouldn't be wasting time .

i did say my Apple TV 4 is not jailbrokennnnn it has kodi sideloaded

and there is no way you ssh if its not jailbroken .

so your suggestion is useless .

I'm sorry .
