Created a new SD with Kodi, 16.1, 12/10/2016. Got Kodi with addons all working. The "C" key, Contextual menu will not mark a video watched..
My previous Kodi, 16.1, 5/20/2016, load works fine for that function....

It's the "w" key that marks video as watched. You can also set another key if preferred by changing
<w>ToggleWatched</w>
in the keyboard.xml
I did try the "w" key as well. It didn't work. In the Contextual menu, the selection to mark a video watched, doesn't work. How do I look at the Contextual menu setup? I will look at the keyboard.xml to see if any key is set for this function. THX
Might help if you describe the distribution and where kodi was installed from.
I downloaded compressed image file, XBian_Latest_rpi3.img.gz 2017-02-03 from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbian/files/release/. I have always used this site images with no problems. Decompressed file and then used Windows Img copier to transfer image to SD for my Rasp pi 2.
I got tired of chasing that rabbit. Did a new Kodi download and re-install. Install works fine....
