I am trying to use the latest KODI 17.0; however, every time I open KODI, it closes out. After that, I get the error message "KODI Has Stopped Unexpectedly" and options to report. I'm Using a Mac Book Pro early 2015 with the latest version of Mac OS Sierra. How can I fix this?
I'm having the same problem on both my late 2011 iMac and mid 2015 Retina MBP. I just went back to 16.1 and everything is working fine again. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon.
Yeah, I downgraded to KODI 16.1 also.
Need the crashreporter log for all those unexpected quits
I have tried downloading Krypton 17 several times but it just says Kodi closed unexpectedly,and wants an error report for Apple.I am now using a beta six version of krypton 17 and it works fine I think it's definitely something on the developers end as I am reading of many people experiencing the same problem hopefully it will be fixed eventually,I am using the latest version of o s sierra on mac mini

Press details pn the crash dialog, copy all text in there and paste it to pastebin.com - then post the link to the text snippet here in the forum
unfortunately not that tech savvy to follow those steps, will just use beta 6 for now.hopefully problem will be resolved soon.
No it won't because i rely on the debug info to even have a chance.
Just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to copy and paste to pastebin,just as confused as when I started all the simple instructions are not really that simple when you don't know what you're doing sorry but if I was capable I would post my debug info. someday they will make computers that everyone can understand without long drawn out tutorials

debug log (wiki) created at that stage already? The crash happens in a very early stage and the reason is not obvious in the crash report

Memphiz there is not a debug log from what I can tel from following the instructions. I have other work to do today but since I think I can figure out how to force it to log I will try to get you the log soon.

Memphiz here is a log I managed to gather. Is this the debug log you are talking about? I don't know how to read these logs very well but it looks like it shows the error. If not, I can try to get a different log. this one was listed as kodi.log

I found instructions for how to find these on mac from the link below for future reference. Kodi never started for me and i was still able to locate them with the instructions from here.
