Have you enable theme.mp3 setting ?
I recently noticed that there is a problem with this feature when the theme.mp3 file is not present. I think to remove this feature.

I had the same issue. As soon as I opened up the Movies or TV shows list, it crashed. Just disabled the option and now no more crashes.

If i was to go through and optimize the pages for both sets of fonts, would you except PRs (if i broke them down into smaller chunks) ? i'm happy to do the work (i don't think it will be too intrusive?). As the other alternative is to mod your mod and try and keep it in sync - which i don't fancy my chances!

As I am using the Music library quite often, I noticed that there seems to be a bug, that the Fallback Default Icons for textures like DefaultAudio.png etc. pp. will be visible for a split second, even if the media has a download Cover.
I already posted it in the Bug thread, but its seems not much followed by the developers, so maybe you have a clue whats causing this behaviour.

It's not a bug, fallback are shown during textures are loaded or if artworks are not found, it's depending of your hardware, on my two machines, I never see them, textures are instantly loaded.

Thx for the quick reply, much appreciate it. Ok, if the fallback textues are always shown before the actual Artwork is loaded it makes sense. I only use a RPi2 as hardware so its not the most powerfull device, that could explain why I see the fallback textures it for a split second, but its strange because I never notice this behaviour on the Video Library, but its quite noticeable on the Music Library (and Video posters are usual a bit larger than Music covers).
