So with the 'Passthrough audio' not going to be supported, what would the disadvantage of this be? I currently have a Dolby Atmos setup with an Marantz SR7010.
It means no version of Dolby or DTS formats including Atmos from Xbox One.
Is there any chance Microsoft will change their mind about audio passthrough? The Kodi developers are talking to Microsoft about the UWP version aren't they?

Standard Dolby or DTS works fine, because of encoding on OS level. Maybe there is some loss on double enconding, but for me it's good enough.

I don't know if XBOX can encode in True HD or DTS-HD, because I don't amplifier with HDMI.

I suggest you all pester whoever runs the official Xbox forum, we've recently lost our main avenue into Microsoft that was helping us with the UWP app as they've moved onto a new role, so it may require user pressure to get what you want.
Well, Phil Spencer at least has a Twitter-Account

Currently performance on xbox one is a little slow... Anychance there will be performance boosts in the future?

UWP is slower than a non universal platform on the same hw. So there is no chance to improve performance
I presume in time as things are optimised it may improve?

I'm not bothered personally, I find performance fine myself, but I'm just throwing it out there

Probably if Microsoft will optimize Universal Platform. Nothing depends on us.

its just the navigation that is slow and sometimes choppy. Its a step back from any device ive used before in terms of speed but it eliminates the need for me to have a second kodi box in the house.

Microsoft has a user voice forum where people can vote on features they want to have added. Seems like several topics already exist regarding this subject:

https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/363186...assthrough
https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/363186...rties-apps

Let's all vote on those!

Twitter might help too yes:

Larry Hryb: https://twitter.com/majornelson
Aaron Greenberg: https://twitter.com/aarongreenberg
Phil Spencer: https://twitter.com/XboxP3
DO you have a S or a X. On my X everything is fast, but I must admit that I'm used to kodi on a Pi2 which is not really the fastest platform...

Does it run heavy skins fluently? I don´t have the xbox one (yet) but just wondering.
How does one update to the latest nightly build if you have already installed a previous nightly build? I download the latest cer and appx from http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/windows/uwp64/master/ and windows 10 says its already installed. Probably because version number is same. The only way seems to be to uninstall kodi alpha daily and then reinstall losing all your settings. There should be a way like win64 builds which allows you to install over the previous build. Taking a backup every day and restoring seems overkill.
