Yeah I am seeing the same thing on my one x. Till yesterday it was not available but today it was, however, nothing happens when you click the install button. It just sits in the ready to install list. I guess you can install it on xbone s but not xbone x.
NFS worked fine for me.
wow, great work! Seeing the kodi icon on my xbo is really cool.

I have my library on an external hard drive that I plug into the console, but can't get kodi to find it. Is there a way for kodi to use my external drive?
Guys, great work!  Tried quite a few add-ons that did not work (Plex, Twit, Smithsonian, EarthTouch, Ted) but HDTrailers worked (with some errors) and EmbyCon (watching a show now) as well Smile

If anyone can figure out a way to get SMB added that would be really helpful.

Also, cant get ServerWMC working as a PVR unfortunately (running on my PC) and of course remote is not working Sad

For those wondering how to install, just install the kodi app on windows store and it will show up as available to install on the xbox in the my apps and games section.

Have fun and thank you to the team again!

Cheers!

currently SMB isn't supported on UWP.
take into account that current version published for xbox is early alpha and some things may not work.

Totally understood.  If there is any suggestions on how to share those folders in a different manner I am all ears Smile

NFS is supported. You have to enable (or install) NFS server on your NAS (or computer with shares)

what's it like? Can you scan all libraries? Tried NFS, SMB libraries? What's the speed like, does it play back 4K x265 files etc?

I can't add any library. How did you do it.

Had to use NFS as SMB isn't there (I would normally use SMB)

Excited to try a 4k file later, I didn't really want to spend £160+ on a shield if my Xbox can do the job. It's like xbmc is coming home lol
Wow, this is great news! Cool
Back to where I started. One console to rule them all.  Big Grin
Ok found out that my nfs problem was my nas, not kodi. Once solved I was able to perform a full scan that worked perfectly. Playback also worked when I tested my 1080p/hd audio H264 files, subtitles were working as well. As someone already said passthrough isn't working so I guess we only get core dd/dts. I didn't have time to test h265/4k/hdr files.

Had some crashes back to dash as soon as I tried to add an upnp source (never worked, always crashed).
All plugins options/configuration are empty, but I should revert back to estuary as it might be a problem with nox.
Something very annoying : Back button (B on the pad) sends you back to main menu, not previous window/menu
Interface resolution seems limited to 1080p, I guess this is by design ?

Overall  this is kodi as we know it and a very encouraging alpha.

So why with VLC UWP i can see my SMB files?
I was about to post the same thing. Vlc uwp is indeed using smb even on the Xbox version. So it doesn't seem to be an UWP limitation
Perhaps because it's not completely finished yet. Accept what it currently is or come back in a few months.
How can i install this Alpha version on Xbox one?
