Hello,

There's a problem with my new Samsung J6289 and Kodi (17.1, but I don't think it depends on the version) on my OSMC/Vero2:

The TV doesn't detect the CEC/Anynet+ - connection automatically. The Vero is running 24/7 and when I power down/up the TV, the CEC-connection is not there. I have to manually search for Kodi on the TV via Menu->System->Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)->"Search Devices"¹. There it detects "Kodi" and after I selected Kodi, CEC is working - until the next power cycle or Anynet/CEC has been disconnected somehow.

This manual procedure lowers the WAF to 0 and the MAF is <<1 ... My other, older Samsung TV has no issues with this.

Is there an configuration setting on Kodi (or any other way) to have the CEC connection always, automatically?

I have configured the TV as "monitor only", not using any of the tuners
¹ : "Search Devices" is "Gerätesuche" in German, translated by me.

Many, many thanks for your help!
I found the answer in the OSMC-Forum: A firmware upgrade of the TV to 1480 was necessary to fix the problem:
